O hábito de medicar-se com plantas já era disseminado e transmitido entre as mais antigas civilizações. Ainda hoje, a maior parte da população mundial depende de plantas medicinais ou extratos vegetais para o tratamento das mais variadas enfermidades. Embora diferentes culturas ao redor do mundo tenham desenvolvido vasto conhecimento sobre o potencial medicinal das plantas, a ciência ainda está longe de conhecer todos os efeitos e toda a diversidade de substâncias bioativas que elas são capazes de produzir. A adoção de boas práticas com relação às plantas medicinais é essencial, incluindo o uso consciente, a valorização dos conhecimentos tradicionais e a preservação da biodiversidade vegetal.&lt;br /&gt;

&amp;lt;p class='mainText'&amp;gt;Utilizar-se das virtudes curativas de certos vegetais foi uma das primeiras manifestações do&lt;br /&gt;
esforço da espécie humana para compreender e utilizar a natureza. Esse conjunto de conhecimentos&lt;br /&gt;
evoluiu durante milênios, aprofundando-se e diversificando-se, sem nunca, porém, cair&lt;br /&gt;

      &amp;lt;li&amp;gt;A adoção do método de preparação adequado;&amp;lt;/li&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
      &amp;lt;li&amp;gt;Conhecimento da posologia adequada (número de vezes e a quantidade de medicamento&lt;br /&gt;
